Terms of Service

Lightcash shows your cash, burn, runway and transactions, projects where they’re heading and answers questions about them with an AI assistant. It is a tool for understanding your numbers.

It is not financial, tax, accounting, investment or legal advice. Projections are estimates, and the assistant can be wrong or incomplete, so check anything important against your own records and, where it matters, a qualified professional before you act on it.

• You must be at least 18 and give us accurate information, including an email address you can receive mail at.
• Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
• Tell us straight away at hello@getlightcash.com if you think someone else has used it.

“Get started free” opens a demo account filled with made-up sample data. Anything you do in a demo stays in that demo, and demo accounts are deleted automatically after 7 days. Don’t put real or sensitive information into one. If you create an account from the demo, the sample data is deleted and your account starts empty.

You can connect US bank accounts through Stripe Financial Connections. You sign in to your bank in Stripe’s own window, so your bank credentials never reach us; we receive only the balances and transactions you choose to share. Stripe’s own terms apply to that connection. You can disconnect an account at any time in Integrations.

Bank data can arrive late, be incomplete or be wrong, and banks or Stripe can stop sharing it. We show what we receive and can’t guarantee it.

The financial data, files and other content you bring to Lightcash stay yours. You let us store and process them only to run Lightcash for you: to show your dashboards, answer your questions and keep the service working and secure. You can export your transactions as CSV and delete your account, with its data, in Settings. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we handle it.

Please don’t:

• Break the law with Lightcash, or upload data you don’t have the right to use.
• Try to get into other people’s accounts, or probe, scan or attack our systems.
• Overload the service, scrape it, or get around its limits, including the limits on the AI assistant.
• Copy, resell or reverse engineer Lightcash, or use it to build a competing product.

We may suspend or close accounts that do, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

Lightcash is free to start. If we introduce paid plans, we’ll show the price clearly and ask you to agree before we charge you anything.

Lightcash uses other companies to run, such as hosting, bank connections, email and AI. Their services are covered by their own terms, and we aren’t responsible for their outages or changes, though we’ll do our best to keep Lightcash working when they happen.

We improve Lightcash all the time, so features can change or be removed. We aim to keep it available but don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may pause it for maintenance.

Lightcash is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that it will meet your needs, be accurate or be fit for a particular purpose.

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities, arising from your use of Lightcash, including decisions made on its numbers, projections or answers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before it and 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.

You can stop using Lightcash and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering Lightcash, in which case we’ll give you reasonable notice to export your data where we can.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and for significant changes we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Using Lightcash after that means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Lightverse is established, except where the law of the country you live in gives you protections that can’t be changed by agreement. Before going to court, please write to us so we can try to sort things out.
